The Cambridge Free Improvisation Society is an informal collective of Cambridge University students who gather to freely improvise as and when during term times. We play occasional concerts and some of our private improvising sessions have been recorded. Non-university improvisers are also welcome. You can get in contact with us via MySpace, Facebook, or email.

Hey, I was just wondering if your improv sessions were open to participation from the general public. How often do you meet up to play?

Hi Jesse,
We record a session every two/three weeks.
But what do you mean by “participation from the general public”?
Of course there is emotional exchange with public, but there is also stright and impassable border between us and the audience. I can’t imagine anything like playing with or hearing anything from the public during the performance.
Take care
Robert
